It’s the start of term and we often reflect or rethink our approach to the first class, first contact with students, and how to set the tone for the semester. I was listening to this podcast: "What today’s hyper-connected students need from their first weeks on campus". Of course, most of us are not part of the admin organizing freshers’ week, and coordinating student services, nevertheless, we are part of the exciting times that a new start of semester is. I’m sure we have all spent some time thinking about how we can best set our students up for the semester, it’s nice to share what practical things others do.
